Realised that the house phone isn't working. It looks like the wire from phone to main socket is squashed. No dial tone. Tried ringing from my mobile and it doesn't ring but looks like I'm not answering.  Of course I can't find the spare one anywhere. The phones are about 20year old though.
I've had to order a new set of phones . I've got a Dr phone consultation tomorrow too. Talk about sods law!.
