All set to pick up one of Pol's friends from the airport tomorrow morning. It's been on the family calendar for weeks.

"OOPS! It's not tomorrow but the next day....".

I took the lad to buy shoes. He tried on the first pair. OK. And he wandered away. I chose shoes and slippers for myself, paid for them, then spent 10 minutes looking for him in the shop. He was sat on the floor in the ladies' aisle.

The guy who is supposed to be visiting Pol from Belgium, who she has known online for over 5 years, has suddenly ghosted her. He said weeks ago that he had prebooked a hotel and flight, but now he hasn't replied to her in a few days.

Will he turn up?

I decided that if Pol's online friend didn't contact her before I went to bed, I would assume he wasn't coming. The next hour or so will prove me right or wrong.

Pol opened up to her Mum. The Flemish guy had been going on-and-on about getting a rented house in England, with the 2 of them living off her Disabled Benefits, whilst he could stop work and live off Carers Allowance. No rent or council tax to pay, and when they had kids they would get more government money. Pol thought he was just fantasising.

But the moment she said that I would collect him from the airport, and he could visit our home before booking into the hotel, his messages stopped dead.

Another weirdo I reckon.

I had a phone call from the same lady 3 times yesterday, and already once this morning.

"Hello I am your local energy consultant. I understand you are the owner of the house".
