The total spent in Lidl this month to get the 10% off for next Monday was £251.22. So £1.22 over the £250 needed.

The missus started going on about Pois Casses. It's Pease pudding with green peas, not the yellow (chickpea) type.

So I bought a few boxes of the short-soak variety.

Generally the prices in ASDA were shocking. Triple concentrate squash is now more expensive, and it's only double concentrate now.

The specs prices have also jumped a lot.

Bachelors peas and carrots, normally 79 per can, but on offer 3-for-£2.

She couldn't get it to accept the offer price, so just let me have 6 cans for £3, so 50p a can.

Tomato seeds bought for next year. Fingers crossed that we get good weather for once.

Oregano from a trusted ebayer, far cheaper than buying in small pots in the shops.

I also tried to buy door handle springs from the same place I got them last time, but the photos don't match, so I've sent him a message asking for clarification.

A manager found loads of NZ legs of lamb, dated today, at the back of a fridge. It was already marked with an official half price offer, so he made it all 75% off to get rid of it.

Lamb at £3.50 per kg? Yes please!

Loads of bargains in both Heron Foods and Farm Foods.

2 pairs of specs. ASDA gave me an "NHS OAP discount" so only had to pay a total of £90 instead of the normal £180. I went for the same frames as I have found them to be very sturdy and comfortable.

The only 8p veg left in Aldi was parsnips and red cabbage. In the normal area was loads more red cabbage, tiny things, and one HUGE white cabbage. It had the same barcode, so I was glad that it went through the till as 8p.

The 5p sprouts and parsnips were tiny in Lidl, but perfect in Aldi.
