I put the car to SORN yesterday, so I'll get 2 months' tax back.

I checked on insurance for the Logan. It's a PITA.

I'm with Swinton, and to cancel the insurance for the Skoda will cost £60 (my paperwork says £25, but it's "gone up recently"). With 9 months left, that will mean I would owe them around £12!!

But if I transfer to the Logan, it will cost me an extra £318 for the next 9 months!

But eSure gives the same cover for a full year, with half the excess for only £230!!

The Logan is surprisingly nippy for a 900cc 90HP.

The valet has to be finished as the guy was off for covid, so I should be able to collect it Friday or Saturday.

The guy who had it on Motability swapped all 4 tyres for part-used crap before handing it in, and Dacia has taken up to now to get him to pay for them and the tonneau cover. Plus the emergency spare wheel!

Dacia swapped just one tyre when they did the handover last June, but when I pointed-out that the 3 other tyres were bald on both edges, so had been driven under-inflated, the dealer agreed to change them. Then he agreed to swap all 4 wheel trims, and on taking them off, spotted that the senders for the pressure sensors were missing. A quick check and he saw that the fuses for that system was also missing!

I took a call from our optician to book the missus in. I mentioned that I am getting distance double-vision, so she booked me in for a test on Thursday at 11:40.

Then the lad told me that the Skoda is booked to be taken away 9-12 on the same day!

And Swinton Insurance are not answering their phone!
