The missus' BIL, 4 months older than me, went in for his annual checkup last Monday. Samples taken, and all was expected to be OK as he has always been in perfect health.

He dropped into the GP to get his results on Thursday and was immediately taken by ambulance to the nearest large hospital 50 miles away. Scans found something, and was told he would be kept in for "a while".

Today he was told that he will not make it though this week. There is nothing they can do.

He passed away yesterday morning, just after his daughter left the hospital to meet friends at a local beach. Her mother and brother could not contact her until late this morning.

One kidney totally dead, wrapped in a tumour, the other failing rapidly with tumours. Also a tumour on the stomach. Tests this time last year found nothing out of the ordinary.

I need a nap, but have so many things to do.

Something woke me at exactly 5am, but I dropped-off again.

Pooped, so I'll have a nap soon. 

The lad came back from the GP and found out that the 2 senior partners resigned this morning. That leaves 2 GPs that most people don't like at all.

A 5am wake-up again, and then noisy binmen just after 7.

Very tired. Tiling walls is agony on the back!

Woken at 5 again. But I dropped-off until after 10 as I stayed up to watch a film until way after midnight.

I flaked out for an hour this afternoon.

I didn't wake at 5am. 

The Uni students are back, parking anywhere they can find. And to add to that, there are at least 4 taxis operating from a nearby house that was raided for illegals at least twice.

The council sent all tenants a questionnaire. Basically "You only pay half the rent of the private sector. We want to double your rent. In fact, we will once this box-ticking exercise is over. If you are unemployed and get Housing Benefit, you won't pay any more towards the rent".

We have to pay the postage (and an envelope) to send it back when completed!

No 5am awakening, but I did drift in-and-out for a while during the night.

It might well have been more than a Common Cold. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) has gone through the local school and old folks like a dose of salts.
