I managed to grab a short nap before nipping over to Aldi for stuff for the missus.

I was woken at 6am again. I bet it's a car horn.

I slept like a log and woke at half nine with a dripping nose and an urgent desire to empty my bowels. That curry was so spicy!

I drifted in-and-out for ages, then got bored and got up.

I went back to bed after seeing the wind is still here. 

I asked a council bod about the best stuff to kill Marestails. He had a look and said they were actually Horsetails as they have "flowers" (spore pods). He said the stuff I already had would do the trick, probably better than the stuff he is issued with. The council would spray them, but for a fee of £160 +VAT and 3 visits. And they would lean on our poor neighbour to kill his infestation ASAP, to the point of threatening prosecution.

A post-shopping nap was very necessary.

This early start has me all weary already.

Every time I tried for a nap, someone rang the doorbell.

[Mike]

No binmen yet, so I slept right through until a text message arrived on my phone that I thought was turned off.
