Asda reduced loads of Cumberland sausages from  £2 to 29p, so I bought enough to fill the freezer.

Fray Bentos pies shot up to £3 (£3.25 in some places). Tesco has them on offer for the usual £1.50, so I bought a selection as the lad loves them.

Wine. It's still at the same price in Wales due to Minimum Unit Pricing, but will go up around 60p a bottle in England. I also got the last of my brand of cigs at the pre-budget price.

2 pairs of shoes for the lad, one pair for me.

Pol bought EIGHT boxes of cotton buds.

Pol was going to buy as a Eucalyptus kit for £15 with just 5 seeds. I found a pack of 10 seeds online for £2.95. We split the postage and I ordered catmint, tomato and Greek oregano.

The lad loves Fray Bentos pies. But they jumped from £1 to £3.00 or even £3.25. Home Bargains had his 3 favourites at £1.89, so I bought 24, saving at least £26.

More Fray Bentos pies for the lad. £3.25 in Morrisons and Sainsburys, £2.50 in Asda, £2.25 in Tesco, but only £1.89 in Home Bargains.

Home Bargains also had a cracking Hardy's Shiraz for £5.07, so I bought a dozen.

Loads of glucose tabs for the ladies. A very good price reduction in Morrisons. They also had fresh bavette steak, so I got a few for Sunday.

The missus wanted a birthday gateau from Aldi. But they are quite small, so I bought 2 and will stack them.

I also got 3 packs of venison grill steaks at 50%-off, plus some fancy yoghurts also at 50%-off.

I really like fried beansprouts, but at £4 a portion I decided that 2 packs of 50%-off beansprouts and a few minutes with a wok would be a better idea.

240 wet catfood pouches. The price shot up for a while, but Asda had it on special offer.

Tesco had masses of sliced bacon 50% off, 2 weeks before use-by date. So now our freezer is loaded with bacon.

A jumbo box of bird fat balls, A tiny lady had just man-handled it up to a high shelf. She was not impressed.

Farm Foods have large bags of Haribo-sort-of-sweets on special offer, so I bought 4. That'll last me ages.

A charity calendar for the missus. 20 euros for the calendar, 6.30 euros postage!
