Uni students woke me at 8:25, yakking in the street about some meeting today.

During the colonoscopy interview, I mentioned that we had to wait until after xmas for our flu jabs. The nurse said she had access to our GP's booking system, saw loads of spare slots, so booked us in for 10th November.

I woke a couple of times during the night, then a robot phone call got me out of bed at 8:05.  :grumpy:

After dropping Pol off at her clinic. I tried for a short nap. She rang to be collected after only 20 minutes, as she was the only one that had arrived for the clinic.

The boiler repairman could arrive at any time after 8:30. So I set an alarm, woke 5 minutes before it was due to sound, and the clock has vanished. ??? 5 minutes later it didn't sound to let me know where it is. ???

Hours later and I still haven't found it. The twins and the missus are as baffled as I am.

The alarm clock went off this morning, and I found it under the cupboard at the foot of the bed. About 4 metres away from where it usually is. ???

Several residents have been going door-to-door about the "war on motorists", i.e. the £90 charge for a second Residents Parking Permit.

The council also dropped a bomb on a few households with letters saying that only ONE off-road parking space is permitted on council house properties. 3 have gravelled the entirety of their front gardens to park 2 or 3 cars on.

I was woken bang on 6 again. Then it was obviously a taxi horn that did it, 'cos a neighbour was out there immediately giving the driver a piece of advice to "SHUT THE F UP!!!"

A late nap, but it was very welcome.  :bed:
