The bin lorry woke me at 7:10. It was the noisy diesel one, not the leccy one that is supposed to be used before 8.

I needed to be up to accept a parcel, but I didn't need to be awake before 7.

Bladder got me up again

That aspect of growing older hasn't affected me yet.

I woke too early, but dropped-off again into a bizarre vivid dream.

Locals are getting mad.

The Public Consultation and information letters about Resident Permit Parking costs were based on a stock letter from 2020.

The actual costs are now far higher, and the council is refusing to abide by the costs that residents were told would apply.

And many did not realise that to park on their own drive would be free, but to park outside another house (of a friend or relative) would require either an annual Zonal Permit, or Visitor Passes.

The missing meds still haven't been sourced.

Waiting for parcels that go via Royal Mail has become a lottery.

I have deduced that if I lie down for a nap, the doorbell will ring.

The first night with the winter quilt, so I was warm and comfy and enjoying a lie-in when a neighbour powered-up a petrol leaf-blower just after 10.

I was OK wearing a sweatshirt around the house, but the twins and missus said it was time to put the heating on.

So I tripped it on.... and only the circulation pump is running. I can frig it to start burning gas, but that only lasts for about 10 seconds.

Time to call a fixer.
