Mike

New TV for the bedroom, less than 24 hours from Amazon, all set up and working now

Tâf

A big vape order for the missus. She is getting on well so far and appears committed.

Morrisons had a special on sacks of huge Spanish onions. Cheaper than the crappy UK-grown ones normally on sale these days.

Farm Foods often do a whole leg of NZ lamb for under £15. I couldn't find any today, but decided to ask the new bloke running the place, a young Persian. He told me that they are kept in the back room to stop the "women of south Asia" from grabbing the lot and selling on to their friends and family.

So that is the lamb for Xmas sorted. All I need now is a small gammon.

Asda had legs of lamb half price, but still more expensive than the one I got from Farm Foods.

They did have a nice small Aberdeen Angus joint that was ideal for the 3 of us that eat beef. A very good price too.

I bought some new Malted bloomer bread from Aldi that they like a lot. It's nice with soup.

I walked to Aldi for bread, but added loads of cake and biscuits as they are about 80% off.

Aldi had loads of Xmas stock knocked down from £3+ to only 29p. Large Xmas puddings, cakes, biscuits, nuts and crisps. We are now stocked-up on treats for months.  :D

Tunnocks tea cakes. The last one I had was in the late 70s with a mug of tea after spending the night hand-clearing snow off the Forth Road Bridge.

I had a 15% off coupon for cheeseburgers in Lidl. But the discount did not happen. The checkout lady said that it was because I bought a burger with cheese and not a cheeseburger. ???

It was the same a while back regarding baby potatoes. It was a specific brand that was not mentioned.

Rachel from Account's budget increases on booze come into force tomorrow, so I bought a LOT of beer.

Canned All Day Breakfasts and Bacon Grill for the lad.

Tâf

Loads of meat as we had 10% off in Lidl. We saved £11 in all.

Tâf

A £60 order for the lad from Approved Foods. I could not find anything I fancied on the whole site, but he was very enthusiastic.
